Can I really send a bike, scooter overseas?
I have a 150cc Gas Scooter wishes ship overseas to Southeast Asia, is it possible and how much? And what kind of paperwork? Thank you!
Absolutely. In 1982 my then girlfriend, now my wife and I send our Yamaha XJ650 to London from Montreal European summer riding. I do not remember the exact cost, but basically Kuhn & Nagel travel in Toronto organized the bike to travel as excess baggage in the same flight as us. All we had to do was drain the fuel, disconnect the battery, and deflate the tires. The bike was strapped to a platform in the hold of cargo planes. Shipment by sea is even cheaper with several companies offering the service.
