What would be a good beginner Ron Jon Surf Shop surf board?
What type (longboard, funboard and short board) and the size of a ron jon board would be best for me, (preferably $ 200 - $ 400) ... I'm 6'2 "and about 200 lbs.
Do not go shopping Ron Jon. They are an over rated shop selling swimsuit hits tons of garbage. I guess to sell some "real" boards, but be realistic, not is going to lead a novice like you in anything made with quality. But Ron was enriched and more marketed, the inevitable happened. Now, in all places, the company caters to cheap tourist junk and inexperienced surfers who can be fooled into buying nothing. The lessons are the best way to start. The lessons may come from a professional instructor, or browse by family members or friends with practical experience surf. You have to learn the navigation tag (so the experienced surfers in the line up and do not want to drown), like rowing and take off on a wave, and how to mount a wave. The last thing we want is for people experienced surfers inexperienced Just drag a table, at the peak of surfing and get in our way. Lessons to shorten the learning curve significantly. And help keep ignorant, preparation kooks out of the water and the more experienced surfers. Beginners should take advantage of rent boards and wetsuits while taking lessons. If it turns out you do not like surfing, you have not wasted a lot of money on gear that is not going to use. When ready to buy, do not waste your time online, go to a good surf shop local to discuss its size (weight is imported, the height is not), the skill level and local wave conditions.
