I'll buy a 9'0 longboard. What is the difference with thicker rails and between epoxy and fiberglass?
I ride a 6'10 epoxy surfboard and I'm ready for a longboard. Im not sure if or where fibergalls rides better should get a card for under $ 550. I live in South County Orange.
Thicker bars means more buoyancy. If you will most likely understand the difference between a rounded rail plus "faced" by rail. A train can take a little thicker than most so you can have a little more in transition and still have some edge and buoyancy as well. Personally, I prefer glass epoxy boards. I like the way they feel in the water, but I could not say exactly why. Glass for me is just a feeling smoother in the water. Glass panels are easier to repair, which I like. As to where to get a card, just shop around. Find one you like and go for him. In the end, it is preferred that things, and you can get, whether glass or epoxy boards for that price range without much difficulty.
