Surfboard size and type? I am a beginner surfer, 5 '10 ", 165 pounds, what size fish would be good if at all?
I started to surf in July and bought an 8 '10 "mini longboard and can stand up, but want something a little more maneuverable and thinking a fish would be a good step down. If so, is a quad so that the two flaps better setup? Also considering a "hybrid" or "fish hybrid. "Any advice?
The dream would be to go to a board that is 7 feet wide and floats easily. After 1 season of surfing, must take a short, fast, elegant board that would be its permanent council for the next 10 years. Nobody wants to make "intermediate step. Then fought with the "fish" because they have to paddle hard to catch all the waves. Borrow a couple of friends or rent tables at the store. Not always have to push yourself same. There are moments when just cruising on a wave is the most fun ..
