how long dose it take to learn to surf?
In fact, I am a body-border, but started to get bored, so I decided to learn to navigate, I have my own 9 'surfboard and me wondering how long will it take to learn to surf, I'll be at the beach at least twice a week, have a very good balance and I am very fit. Thanks!
Lessons are the only sensible way to learn. The lessons may come from a professional instructor, or browse by family members or friends to experience surfing. You have to learn the label of navigation (for experienced surfers in the line of top do not want to drown you), how to paddle and take off on a wave, and how to ride a wave. The last thing we want is for experienced surfers to the inexperienced people can carry a table, Rush in the surf and get in our way. Lessons to shorten the learning curve significantly. Everyone learns at their own pace, individually, depending on their natural ability and perseverance. And the lessons help keep ignorant, un-prepared kooks out of the water and form the most experienced surfers. When I started to navigate more than 43 years, there was no such thing surf lessons. It took all summer to get decent, and most of the next to get "good". Occasionally, older boys are my friends and I do some things, but not very often. Still, on-line, not where you get answers. Take lessons, and much more practical to do things together, but it's worth surfing. I've been sailing since 1966, and I had a life of fun with it. You can also if you take the time to learn the right way.
