What mini vans are good for towing a trailer?
I have a small hard box style wall camping trailer. I plan to buy a truck to pull the trailer and also as a backup vehicle. I have many grandchildren and need the room (7 seats). More vans will capable of towing a caravan? Does it matter if the front and rear wheel drive? I know my friend towed in the past with its Explorer. Any ideas out there would be appreciated.
Although not required, the rear-wheel drive would be a better option for towing, the added weight of the trailer will be placed down on the drive wheels provides better traction, however, if the trailer is not as heavy, this should not be too big a problem. With that said however, that not style pickups really big economies are rear-wheel-drive pickups actually more. Your best option would be to get a 90 early Ford or GM economies Full-size 350/305/351 with a V8 in it. This will give a lot of guts to pull a heavy load and all those people too. Vans are only now Adays models V6 with plenty of grunt for soccer moms, but not for towing. Goodluck
